Originating in the aviation industry, RCM has become the global standard for professional maintenance management. The methodology focuses on maintaining system function rather than just equipment, helping organizations optimize availability while managing risks and costs effectively.<\/p>\n<p>RCM draait om het ontwikkelen van onderhouds\u00adconcepten voor kritieke systemen. Het komt uit de luchtvaart en is sinds 1982 uitgegroeid tot de wereldwijde standaard voor iedereen die onderhoud professioneel aanstuurt.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beschikbaarheid<\/li>\n<li>Betrouwbaarheid<\/li>\n<li>Risico's<\/li>\n<li>Kosten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>RCM and SAE JA1011 Standard<\/h3>\n<p>The international definitions and the structure are standardized worldwide, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sae.org\/standards\/ja1011_199908-evaluation-criteria-reliability-centered-maintenance-rcm-processes\">since 1999<\/a>. It ensures that all maintenance and related professionals understand each other by using the same definitions. Companies use RCM as the minimum knowledge for maintenance and production people.<\/p>\n<p>RCM is a new way of thinking, for many of you. It is not new, but many do not know it well enough. Understanding how important the cooperation between different departments (sales, production and engineering), is valuable for many. The world is changing, so will a maintenance concept. A maintenance concept is not finished until you have nest it into a maintenance plan, to keep your maintenance program in (SAP) PM, Maximo, Ultimo, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sew-eurodrive.de\/services\/life-cycle-services\/operation\/services\/cdm-complete-drive-management\/cdm-complete-drive-management.html\">CDM<\/a> up to date&#8230; and keep it up to date.<\/p>\n<p>Maintenance is never finished, for the simple reason that failures are not static, but dynamic. Maintenance plans from suppliers cannot be implemented without adapting them to the unique situation and requirements at your site.
